Week ending: 3 October 2014

What an exciting week in Class 3.  From really stretching ourselves learning expanded addition and subtraction (and some fabulous decomposition for Year 4s), parents joining us for the afternoon on Tuesday (and thanks to all those who came and supported their children in writing fantastic science evaluations), dodging, pivoting and marking in Netball and wonderful science investigations with more eruptions! Not only that we learnt to use a dictionary/thesaurus efficiently. It felt as if we couldn't have packed much more in!!

This week (6 October 2014) we shall be looking at time (measurement) in Maths and continuing our Mythical work in Literacy.  We shall be having an art focus this week which will culminate in children producing sketches of their own mythical creatures (with a link to Literacy).  Watch out for the displays!!  On top of all this we are going to Colchester Castle on Tuesday.  Could it get any better?
